Medical Billing

HRS provides complete medical billing solutions for your practice.

Claims Preparation and Submission – The vast majority of claims are transmitted electronically.  We file all of your claims within 24 hours of receiving all required information without adding a clearinghouse and/or postage expense back to you.

Payment Processing – Payments from insurance companies and patients can continue to go to your office or a lock box depending on your preference.  As we receive payments, remittance advices, and explanations of benefits, we post these into the practice management system.  More and more insurance carriers are utilizing electronic funds transfer and electronic remits.  Electronic remits increase efficiencies and decrease errors.  Each EOB/ERA will be audited for correct payment and/or benefits.

Appeals – Incorrect payments and/or denials are appealed or challenged with the insurance companies to ensure the correct reimbursement for your practice.  Incorrect registration or coding patterns identified while reviewing charges and claims or from denials will be communicated to your front desk staff or providers to ensure continuous process improvement.

Statements – Statements are mailed out from our office on behalf of your practice or facility.  The protocols for statements and collections are set to your specifications.  All statements will include the practice and/or providers name and address.

Accounts receivable management– We work your accounts receivable continuously and aggressively in order to comply with timely filling limits.  Although we monitor Days in AR, we also focus on reimbursement yields to ensure we are optimizing your reimbursement.

Reports – Practice management reports are usually issued and reviewed monthly.  We do, however, customize reporting to your needs and specifications.  HRS also provides monthly or as needed in person meetings to review monthly billing adjustments and cash collection reports.  We understand the importance of optimizing revenue, and we’ll keep you informed every step of the way.
